The ice pants utilize molded plastic inserts reinforced with medium density foam in the kidney, hip and thigh guards for high impact protection. A pocket in the groin area can be used for either a cup or a pelvic protector to protect the vital area. High-density foams in the tailbone provide extra comfort and protection from falling. The shin guards are lined with high-density foam and molded plastic along the kneecap and shin for lightweight protection.

Bauer wanted to create the most optimal fit so they included an integrated base layer for extra comfort and moisture management. A stretch gusset runs through the center of the pant for good mobility with each stride. Both a nylon strap and traditional skate lace tie allow you to customize the fit just the way you like it. A mesh anchor strap wraps around your calf to prevent your shins from sliding during play.
