Swix hard waxes are characterized by a high degree of flexibility. Each VR-wax lists two specified temperature ranges, one for new snow and one for older snow. Refer to additional features listed below to choose the correct temperature wax.Blue Extra = 14
Blue Extra = 14 to 30F; New snow low air humidity. Green = 9 to 19F; Very dry powdery snow. Red Special = 28 to 34F; Moist new snow transformed fine grain snow.
Violet Special = 30 to 32F Borderline wet – barley blows. Blue = 5 to 28F; Moderate cold snow. Red Silver = 30 to 38F; Wet snow apply thicker when warmer.
Violet = 27 to 32F; When snow is going from cold to wet. Polar = -22 to 10F; Coldest conditions.
